HP Smart Array E500 (part 012751-002) is an 8-port SAS/SATA RAID controller card designed for HP ProLiant servers. The card connects via PCI-Express X8 slot and delivers up to 3GB/s throughput per port, supporting simultaneous connections to eight SAS or SATA drives. The integrated 256MB write-back cache improves performance during RAID operations.
