The Axis 01708-001 (M3066-V) is a compact indoor dome IP camera delivering 1920×1080 resolution at 30 fps. Designed for ceiling-mount installation in offices, retail, and institutional environments, it features progressive scan CMOS sensor technology and supports H.264/Motion JPEG video compression. The camera connects via standard RJ45 PoE (Power over Ethernet), eliminating separate power runs and reducing installation complexity. With a 3.6 mm fixed lens and 86° horizontal field of view, it provides wide coverage suitable for lobby monitoring, hallway surveillance, and general facility oversight. Axis's ARTPEC-3 chipset enables on-board video analytics, local storage buffering, and integration with standard VMS platforms via RTSP and HTTP protocols.
