HP StorageWorks MSA50 (part 364430-B21) is a 1U rack-mounted storage enclosure with 10 hot-plug drive bays supporting Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and SATA connectivity. The modular design accommodates 2.5" and 3.5" SAS or SATA drives, providing flexible capacity scaling from 1TB to 40TB+ depending on drive selection. Typical throughput reaches 300MB/s aggregate bandwidth via dual SAS ports. Compatible with HP StorageWorks controllers and select third-party SAS HBAs, the MSA50 is well-suited for mid-range SAN deployments, backup targets, and mixed workload environments requiring dense, hot-swappable storage.
