Dell PowerConnect 3524 (Part No. CM308) is a 1U rack-mountable Layer 3 managed Fast Ethernet switch designed for mid-size enterprise networks. The switch provides 24 × 10/100Base-TX ports for standard Ethernet connectivity, plus 2 × Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 × SFP slots (shared uplink capacity) for higher-speed backbone or fiber connections. Supporting up to 8.8 Gbps throughput, the 3524 enables VLAN segmentation, QoS, static routing, and basic ACL functionality typical of managed access-layer switching. The stackable design allows multiple units to be chained for simplified management and expanded port density.
