The EF31SC is a fiber optic transceiver module designed for integration into Linksys EtherFast EF3116 and EF3124 managed switches. This 100Base-FX module supports SC-type fiber connectors and operates over multimode or single-mode fiber cabling, extending network connectivity beyond standard copper ethernet distances. The transceiver delivers 100 Mbps throughput and is backward-compatible with 10Base-T and 100Base-TX copper modules in the same chassis, enabling mixed-media network architectures in enterprise environments.
