The Fortinet FG-500E (part number FG-500E-BDL-874-12) is a 1U rack-mount FortiGate security appliance designed for mid-market and branch deployments. It provides eight 1GbE ports (RJ-45) and supports up to 10 expansion slots for additional interface modules, including 10GbE connectivity options. The base configuration supports 1000Base-T and 1000Base-X connectivity with room to scale to 10GBase-X throughput via optional interface cards.
